MOBILE ELEVATING PLATFORMS |
PB Training Services Ltd offer you training across the whole range of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPS).
Training is mainly conducted under the banner of the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme - a Health & Safety Executive recognised training organisation.
The course will cover (maximum of four candidates) the following:
Inspection and take over of the MEWP.
Correct setting up of the machine.
Hazard identification and assessment of risks involved.
Relevant legislation.
Selection of a suitable MEWP.
Stability and instability.
Operator's safety code.
Assessment and testing.
At the conclusion of the course each candidate will undertake a test of operating ability to a level pre-set by the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme.
1 DAY For the operator who has been previously trained and tested, and requires reassessment and testing to prove continuing competence to operate. Also for the highly experienced operator who has 12 months or more continuous operating background.
2 DAY For the operator who is usually self-taught (3 months operating experience) but has slipped through the net and has never had formal training. It bridges the gap between basic training and no training. This programme can lend itself to training on 2 types of machine e.g. scissor and boom.
3 DAY For the operator who has no experience. This BASIC OPERATOR'S COURSE is recognised as the standard length of programme to provide the operator with a good foundation in operating skills. This programme can also lend itself to training on 2 types of machine e.g. scissor and boom.
For each successful candidate on the programme a training report and certificate of training will be issued which will outline the candidate's performance throughout the programme.
All successful candidates can apply (via the training provider) for inclusion on the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme. They will then be issued with a card bearing their photograph and a list of the types of plant they are trained and tested to operate.
