PB Training Services Ltd can assist you with your Abrasive Wheel operator training helping meet the requirements of Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
Using instructors that are National Plant Operator Registration Scheme accredited, a candidate on an Abrasive Wheel programme will receive training in:
Hazards arising from the use & misuse of.
Legal requirements - HASAWA 1974, PUWER 1998.
Identification and use of correct Personal Protective Equipment.
Wheel types and uses.
BSI marking system for identification.
Storage, handling and transportation.
Testing and inspecting.
Component identification.
Mounting and balancing.
Wheel dressing and rest adjustment.
Theoretical test and practical assessment.
At conclusion of training each candidate will receive a certificate of attendance and training record.
½ DAY For the experienced operator who has never been previously assessed or as a refresher course for operators would require periodic reassessment to continue to demonstrate competence.
1 DAY For the operator who has never been assessed and has not received formal training. This BASIC OPERATOR'S COURSE is recognised as the standard length of programme to provide the operator with a good foundation in operating skills and knowledge.
